The multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar has multiple antennas that radiate arbitrary waveforms and are equipped with digital receivers.  The MIMO are developed to decrease the weight, power, size, and cost of conventional AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radars.
